Job Description
A leading datacenter infrastructure company is seeking a Chief of Staff to support and scale our Business to Government go-to-market. This role partners directly with the GM or Head of Public Sector to drive operating rhythm, align cross-functional execution, and accelerate revenue across federal, state, local, and education customers. You will translate strategy into action across capture, proposals, compliance, partnerships, and field execution, ensuring we consistently win and expand government accounts.
Responsibilities
Drive the operating cadence for Public Sector GTM, including pipeline reviews, forecast discipline, QBRs, and executive readouts.
Partner with Sales, Capture, Solutions, Legal, Finance, and Product to translate priorities into clear plans, owners, and timelines.
Build and manage the government sales execution framework, including account planning, pursuit governance, and deal stage definitions.
Own internal readiness for government opportunities: pricing alignment, contracting pathways, security requirements, and delivery coordination.
Support capture and proposal operations by coordinating stakeholders, maintaining pursuit calendars, and ensuring high-quality submissions.
Create and maintain executive-level dashboards on bookings, pipeline health, contract vehicles, partner performance, and program risk.
Identify process bottlenecks and implement scalable systems across lead intake, qualification, approvals, and post-award handoffs.
Coordinate partner and channel motions, including systems integrators, prime contractors, OEMs, and cloud marketplaces.
Lead strategic initiatives such as entry into new agencies, expansion of contract vehicles, or launch of compliant datacenter offerings.
Ensure tight alignment between customer needs and product or delivery teams, surfacing requirements for reliability, security, and compliance.
Stay current on public sector procurement trends, competitive dynamics, and datacenter modernization priorities to inform strategy.
Basic Requirements
7+ years of experience in revenue operations, GTM strategy, chief of staff, consulting, or sales operations roles, with meaningful exposure to B2G.
Demonstrated experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder deals and building repeatable operating processes.
Strong understanding of government procurement and contracting concepts, including RFPs, RFIs, FAR-based workflows, and contract vehicles.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional execution across sales, legal, finance, security, and delivery teams.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentations and concise decision memos.
Highly organized with strong program management skills and the ability to prioritize across many concurrent initiatives.
Analytical mindset with ability to build KPI reporting and translate data into action.
Preferred Requirements
Experience selling datacenter infrastructure, colocation, cloud, HPC, networking, or related mission-critical technology into government customers.
Familiarity with public sector compliance and security frameworks relevant to datacenter environments (for example FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, IL levels, StateRAMP).
Experience with capture management and proposal coordination, including shaping strategies, win themes, and evaluation criteria mapping.
Knowledge of contract vehicles and partner ecosystems (for example GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, schedule-based procurement, primes and SIs).
Experience building forecast models, territory plans, and pipeline dashboards in tools like Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
Comfort working in fast-scaling organizations where ambiguity is high and operational rigor is still being built.
MBA or advanced degree in business, public policy, or a related field.
